Why We Built This
Ever tried uploading a photo to a government form, college application, or job portal — only to be told the image must be under 50KB or 100KB? And then struggled to figure out how to get it to exactly that size without ruining the quality?
That frustration is exactly what led to PhotoResizerKB. We wanted a tool that:
- Hits an exact KB target — not just "smaller", but precisely 50KB or 100KB
- Works entirely in the browser — no uploading your private photos anywhere
- Is fast and simple — no sign-up, no watermarks, no limits
- Works on mobile phones — because most people resize photos from their phones
Most existing tools either compress too much, don't let you set an exact KB target, or require you to upload your images to their servers. We built the alternative.
By the Numbers
